In the Stars for January 2012

Happy New Year may it be filled with blessings of abundance, peace and love. Let us hold that thought in mind since we really create it. This New Year starts off energized by the First Quarter Moon in the fire sign Aries. This lunar energy brings in the year with a sure spark for inventive perhaps impulsive changes. If you are wishing of keep to your New Year resolutions; this is the year to do it since the New Moon phase is the best time to make plans or resolutions that you are more likely to stick to at least for the next four weeks.

This year 2012 resonates to the number 5 which means in numerology change and freedom from restrictions and from stale situations. Allow this vibration for freedom to unleash all your creative power. New inventions in the arts, medicine and sciences will be realized as Uranus moves into the dynamic fire sign Aries until 2019. While transiting Neptune in its own sign Pisces will amplify our intuitive faculties. We are likely as a collective to be more open to psychic impressions, dreams and an interest in all the more subtle dimensions that surround us. Capricorn ruled by Saturn denotes a time for the soul to strive to become more than their limitations no matter what station in life they find themselves in. "I Use" is the keyword for Capricorn. That is that they use all that is at their reach to better themselves especially since their ruling planet Saturn pressures them to constantly work on bettering themselves. They learn to persevere by climbing the mountain. We will feel a sudden burst of fresh energy charging us for a totally novel way of expressing our selves now that the Moon joins with Uranus the planet of freedom and change. The sky is the limit. Mercury and Mars square energizing our thoughts this helps to jump start pending decisions. Our minds may be very restless impulsive thinking is likely due to this aspect.

The Full Moon occurs Jan. 8th in the emotional water sign Cancer. This will be a very emotionally charged day. Stay centered because fears around comfort and security will flare up. The Capricorn Sun opposes the Moon in Cancer helping us to synthesize the need to be disciplined and strong yet in touch with our feelings integrated rather than sensitive, cold, calculating, brooding and fearful. Today is a great day to sit and nurture your self by simply allowing it to be.

The Last Quarter Moon occurs Jan. 16th in the justice orientated air sign Libra. The last quarter moon is always the best time to evaluate those projects and plans you are busy with and decide which ones you want to keep going for the next lunar cycle. Balance and harmony are Libra's virtues to utilize today.

The New Moon arrives Jan. 22nd in the humanitarian air sign Aquarius. The Sun and Moon conjunction helps us to attune to the awareness of this new age of Aquarius were we are more able to free up our minds attuning to the new impressions of human-angel awareness, collectivity trusting one another and being a whole humanity. The symbol for Aquarius is an angel pouring the knowledge of energy (consciousness) from a vase. Start any new project today that feels brilliant, fun and out of this world. Welcome the Chinese New Year of the Dragon. The Chinese New Year is a time to welcome longevity, wealth and prosperity and to eliminate any negative chi from the past. The Year of the Dragon will be marked by excitement, unpredictability, exhilaration and intensity. The First Quarter Moons comes at the end of the month on Jan. 30th in the practical earth sign Taurus. Taurus energy is about foundations, security, practicalities.
